The University Center for Regional Studies and Analyses at the Sofia University

The Center for Regional Studies and Analysis (CRSA) was established within the scientific program “Dialogue in the Socio-Economic Environment, Regional Studies and Sustainable Development,” a component of the project “Alma Mater” University Complex for Humanities (Scientific Research Fund of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science) under Contract No. DUNK01-1/22.12.2009). In 2015, the Center for Regional Studies and Analysis was administratively incorporated into the Faculty of History at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” In the period 2010-2016, within the framework of the scientific program “Dialogue in the Socio-Economic Environment, Regional Studies and Sustainable Development” under the umbrella of the “Regional Program” of the Alma Mater University Center, the team of the Center for Regional Studies and Analysis actively participated in project activities, including scientific conferences, seminars, and publications. On January 25, 2023, by decision of the Academic Council of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” the center was transformed into the University Center for Regional Studies and Analysis.
