Elitsa Kapusheva

Elitsa Kapusheva is a Bulgarian social and cultural anthropologist working in the fields of peace and conflict studies, environmental anthropology, migration research and the complex intersections in-between. Geographically, she is interested in Bulgaria (within the Balkans) and Armenia (within the South Caucasus), and the parallels and the disparities between the two regions. Her research so far is focused on exploration of individual interpretations of the right of collective self-determination and experiences of protracted conflict. She has also worked on small projects, related to the public perception of the EU Green Deal in Bulgaria and reactions towards greening efforts. She is curious about multimodal methods and participatory action research. She believe in the importance of mainstreaming public anthropology and citizen science.
